The Penticton Indian Band Education Center is a fully accredited secondary school recognized by the First Nation School Association, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care. Penticton Indian Band Education Centre offers a secondary and adult education program leading to High School and Adult Graduation Certification (Dogwood Certification). The PIB Education Centre offers grade 10-12 courses to include upper-level math, science, Language Arts (English) and n’syilxcen language and culture. The mission and vision of the PIB Ed Centre is provide quality education program and services to prepare students for a brighter, healthier, and prosperous tomorrow. The Ed Centre’s 5-year School Growth Plan aligns with the PIB Education Strategic Plan. The focus of the Education Center as outlined in the 5-year School Growth Plan (2020-2025) includes the following:

  1. Strengthen community connections and engagement to promote education programs at the PIB Education Centre
  2. Develop partnerships with local post-secondary institutes and seek funding to offer diverse education program and career options to increase school
  3. completion and employability
  4. Promote and increase n’syilxcen language acquisition and cultural revitalization through courses offerings and school events
  5. Review, update and develop a School Policy and Procedure Manuel to guide the work
