Yolanda George
HR Generalist

The Human Resources department works with all departments in the organization. The Human Resources department helps to provide organizational structure and the ability to meet department needs by effectively supporting staff and management through the areas such as recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, wage placement, termination, progressive discipline, mediation, grievances, training and development, health and safety and gives clear direction on PIB policy and ensures compliance with provincial and federal legislation. The Human Resources department has an open door policy to hear of any concerns and also ensures this is done in a confidential manner.

The focus of the Human Resources department is to improve the accessibility of the organization. Recruitment has always been an area we are looking to improve on, which would include implementing a cultural component as well as a more accessible to those with differing abilities and creating more trainee roles which will allow for building capacity and ensuring PIB members have more employment opportunities.
