The Penticton Indian Band Health Department offers a wide scope of Diabetes Prevention and Intervention services and resources.
Evening Star Casimir is a Certified Community Diabetes worker providing education and nutritional Food security programs, she is responsible for the integration of these services with All Health Department programs. Evening Star is a Kamloops Indian Band member and Penticton Indian Band community member and a Health Team member for 9 years.

- Facilitation of workshops on Diabetes to children, youth and adults

- Monthly Harvest box program
- Monthly community Kitchens program
- Monthly Meals-On-Wheels cooking
- Coordination of Health Department healthy snacks and dinners

- Community Gardens
- S&S café – weekly community dinner – volunteer cooks, organized by Health staff, sponsored by Social Development Department
- Summer Family program – food collection, preserving of meats, fruit, vegetables facilitator
