You may have noticed an increase in TELUS vehicles and crews in the Penticton area. This is because TELUS is making a major investment in its fibre optic network, bringing connection to more than 95% of homes and businesses in the community, including Penticton IR No. 1.
Over the past several months, Penticton Indian Band staff has been meeting with TELUS representatives to ensure community members have the opportunity to connect to the fibre network at no cost. Once connected, you will be under no obligation to sign up for TELUS services, however, you will have the option to sign up for any TELUS products offered including Optik TV™ and Internet with speeds up to 150Mbps.
Beginning May 10th, a TELUS representative will be making door to door contact with residents on Penticton IR No. 1 explaining the process and gaining permission to connect the network directly to your home at no cost or obligation to take service. If you choose to have your home or business connected, you will have access to sign up for TELUS services on the new fibre network.
