Language & Cultural Resource Developer (until March 2027)- open until July 10, 2025
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Language and Cultural Specialist, The Language & Cultural Resource Developer is responsible for creating a comprehensive inventory of curriculum guides, educational materials, and resources used in PIB and public schools to support language revitalization. The primary outcome of this role is to expand and enhance accessible language curriculum resources for learners and educators as number one goal from the 4 Pillars 10 year plan is; to support syilx language revitalization with collaboration, cultural sovereignty and accessibility. The Language and Cultural Resource Developer will identify, compile, and organize language curriculum materials into thematic categories (seasonal teachings, everyday home/school/work/community usage). support community engagement initiatives to promote language learning and cultural preservation and assist in the creation, adaptation, and distribution of language-learning materials to PIB membership and partner institutions. This role plays a vital part in preserving and revitalizing Indigenous language and culture by ensuring high-quality, accessible resources for current and future generations.
