Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Natural Resources, the FireSmart Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating FireSmart-related initiatives within the Penticton Indian Band community. This position is charged with the responsibility of facilitating various activities aimed at enhancing community resilience to wildfires, ensuring that these efforts align with both Provincial guidelines and the specific directives and policies established by the Penticton Indian Band. The FireSmart Coordinator’s role is crucial in fostering a proactive and resilient community that is well-prepared to mitigate the risks associated with wildfires, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents within the Penticton Indian Band.
