Job Summary
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Event Coordinator organizes a large number of meetings, conferences, and events throughout the year externally and internally in collaboration with each Department, Leadership and any external partnered or hosted events. This position will help make these gatherings consistently efficient, cost-effective, and memorable. This may consist of evaluating and negotiating with vendors, in collaboration with departments assisting with drafting and/or signing service and facility contracts, distribute materials and manage communications with attendees, speakers, stakeholders and community members. The event coordinator will also consult with Communications Manager and Department Managers to organize focus groups, meetings, and other public/community engagements. and assist on various community engagement initiatives and assist to produce and distribute materials to PIB membership.
