It’s the only game in town as we can’t get together to do things differently. If we decided our governance and implemented our laws, they would have no place to do this. Every time we try or mention governance or our laws we get shut down by our own. We have to take part of that blame until someone is brave enough to stand up our laws. It should be called “Reconciliation without Truth day” a day to give Canadian a place to sympathize with our experiences, not to change any behaviour…..

Honestly, this is a tuff one for me to acknowledge and be respectful to the government. Why should we indigenous people walk X amount of kms… for reconciliation?? It’s a joke, why do we need to acknowledge that Canada never will change its way of holding us hostage… using their formulas, their guidelines so that you could to be status, or non-status… it’s their call and jump when they say so! Yes our hearts want us to believe other wise and we pick u[ a drum, and be loud. But we sign off on their levels of standards because We/you’ must have follow their policies and rules in order to make membership codes, bylaws, and they give us a few dollars…. if you think about it, to sign over bigger chunks of money that the government dishes out WE have to sign a ‘special ademnify’ that says WE can not sue them for anything… that’s with all of the above… so I don’t think I will be walking, because ‘the governments’ give us the ‘special day’ THAT IS CALLED TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY whoooptee Big hairy Deal…. ‼️
