The Penticton Indian Band Health Department provides weekly water testing of our community water system. Mike is a Trained Drinking Water Monitor and is a Penticton Indian Band member and a Health Team member for over 9 years.

DRINKING WATER MONITORING

  • Weekly water sampling and testing of both upper and lower community water systems
  • Water samples tested on site and samples sent to Kelowna Caro Labs for testing weekly
  • Results of on site tests are recorded in a web based reporting center called WaterTrax – Health Canada supported
  • Annual Private Well water testing
  • On site lab water samples only tested for Coliform and E.Coli
  • Any Alerts are immediately sent via email to the Environmental Health Officer – Grace McIver, Health Department Manager
