DUTIES: Maintain Indian Registry Events; Births, deaths, Marriages, Divorce, Transfers, Personal Files, Update Register pages and Numerical Index monthly. Keep change reports current. Monthly reports to Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (I.N.A.C).
CERTIFICATE OF INDIAN STATUS: Issue Status Cards to Band Members. Original Identification must be provided. Maintain Status Card Register and report monthly to I.N.A.C. regarding number of cards issued and to whom.
ESTATES: Complete reports of death and forward to I.N.A.C.
Duties include: Chief and Council Executive Assistant – correspondence, travel arrangements, schedule, transcribe meeting minutes, develop band council resolutions; Reception; and Assistant to Band Administrator – assist with outgoing correspondence (Mayors, AANDC, Ministries and Okanagan Nation), Meet with Program Directors and PIB Emergency Services Team regularly. Provide resources for general information and contacts.
